Maandagavond 5 mei 2025: een mijlpaal in de Nederlandse filmgeschiedenis. In Forum Inside, het programma van Thierry Baudet en FVD, presenteert Erick Overveen voor het eerst de revolutionaire AI-verfilming van zijn boek “Delirium?!” – over het leven, de moord en de nalatenschap van Theo van Gogh.

Delirium?! is the world’s first fully AI-generated feature film — a psychological thriller set in a Europe haunted by violence, censorship, and the ghosts of controversial artists. At its core lies a fever dream: Dutch filmmaker Theo van Gogh meets his future assassin in a surreal, machine-generated vision. It is an image that never existed — until AI imagined it.

Crafted without cameras, actors, or physical sets, this film explores the boundaries of authorship, ethics, and cinematic truth in the age of machines. It is a work of synthetic memory and digital resurrection — of art made not with light, but with language models.

This project premiered its first scene on national television on May 5th, 2025, through an unconventional but widely viewed platform: Forum Inside — a political talk show led by the polarising Dutch politician Thierry Baudet. This was not a strategic choice, but a symbolic one: AI cinema, like all revolutions, begins at the edges.

Op donderdag 2 november 2023 bracht Uitgeverij Ezo Wolf met trots de volledig herziene editie uit van Theo van Gogh – Delirium. Deze vernieuwde uitgave is verrijkt met meer dan 80 diepgravende voetnoten en uitgevoerd in een schitterende paperback.

Vooruitblikkend naar 2026: dan gaat filmgeschiedenis geschreven worden met de release van de allereerste volledig met AI gegenereerde Nederlandse speelfilm.
